Besieged “FSA” eating donkeys for food in al-Muaddamiah

Free Army militia has been under a heavy siege by Syrian Army in al-Muaddamiah area in Damascus suburbs. Lately, al-Muaddamiah witnessed fierce battles between Syrian Army and Free Army militia operating in the area. The army, and in order to drive the militias out, started bombarding the area, but when no bombardment nor clashes were enough to push the militias out, the army resorted to a news strategy which is paving a safe exit for civilians, then sealing off the whole area encircling the militants and preventing neither persons nor materials to enter in or out of the besieged areas.

This strategy is not new, for this is not the first time Syrian Army lays siege of this kind. In the areas that are under a “full-siege,” militants resorted to other kinds to get their daily needs of food. Some anti-government coordination committees reported cases and posted photos of militants eating cats.

This time, and due to this heavy siege, the militants found themselves in front of a real dilemma where neither grinding legumes for bread, eating tree leaves nor eating cats will be enough for their large numbers to feed or to make them able to continue the fight.

And since half-measures are not ok, big animal will provide enough food for them. This donkey was slaughtered by “FSA” militia in al-Muaddamiah, and the photo was posted by coordination committees. Lately, some media outlets said that the militias in a lot of area have scarce munitions and food, and that’s why they started to have a situation where they are in the corner that some of the militias immediately accepted withdrawing from such areas in exchange for their safe withdrawal.
