Blood of Palestinian martyrs will spark off full-scale confrontation with ‘israel’, Islamic Jihad says

The Islamic Jihad resistance movement has condemned recent killings of five Palestinians by Israeli forces in separate incidents across the occupied West Bank, stressing that the blood of the martyrs will lead to all-out confrontation with the occupying Israeli regime and full liberation of Palestine.

The movement said in a statement on Thursday that continuation of Israeli crimes against Palestinians in the occupied al-Quds and West Bank will never provide the Tel Aviv regime with security, and that Israeli officials will never be safe from the revenge of Palestinian freedom fighters.

Islamic Jihad also stressed that Israel has exposed its ugly face and evil intentions by killing several Palestinians in the West Bank, emphasizing that the ongoing Israeli crimes against Palestinians will never help secure the regime and its authorities.

The movement then paid homage to the Palestinian fighters, who have stood up against Israeli forces, stressing there is no option for dealing with Israeli occupiers and their crimes unless through a comprehensive confrontation and intensification of resistance.

Israeli soldiers have killed five Palestinians in the occupied West Bank – one of them a 14-year-old boy –  in 24 hours, amid continued raids by the Israeli armed forces during the holy Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.

Two Palestinians were killed after an Israeli raid early on Thursday, while three others were killed on Wednesday, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

Hamas calls for popular mobilization against Israel as tensions spike over al-Aqsa Mosque

In another development, the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, called on Palestinians from all walks of life to mobilize against Israel, as tensions spike in al-Quds and areas surrounding the al-Aqsa Mosque compound.

“We call on our people to go out in the hundreds of thousands to hold Friday prayers (on April 15) at al-Aqsa in order to pledge their allegiance to their national and religious duties, and to demonstrate their unity in the face of the Israeli occupation, settlers, and extremist groups,” the movement said in a statement.

Senior official: Israel committing “absolute carnage” against Palestinians

Furthermore, a senior member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) roundly condemned Israel over perpetrating an “absolute carnage” against Palestinians in the occupied territories.

Hussein al-Sheikh told the Voice of Palestine radio station that the occupying Israeli regime is clearly determined to kill more Palestinians across the West Bank, especially as Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has already instructed Israeli army to act without restrictions.

He described the killings of five Palestinians by Israeli forces in the past 24 hours as an absolute carnage that could not be tolerated.

Sheikh pointed out that the Palestinian Authority is set to convene an emergency meeting on the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestinians, and to take strategic decisions in this regard.

The high-ranking PLO official held Israel fully responsible for the repercussions of its aggression, calling on the international community to provide immediate protection to Palestinians, especially in light of its failure to implement the United Nations resolutions on Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and establishment of independent state.

He urged all Palestinian political factions to come up to the negotiating table in order to patch up their differences and achieve a national consensus.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday it held Israel “fully responsible for the repercussions” of the regime’s military actions, and Nabil Abu Rudeineh, the official spokesman for the Palestinian presidency, appealed for the international community to intervene.
