Blood sucker regime steps up attacks on Gaza hospitals

The zionist regime has intensified its attacks on hospitals in the Gaza Strip amid shortage of medical supplies in the besieged enclave.

Basman Alashi, the director of Gaza’s Wafa Hospital, told Press TV that hospitals there cannot cope with the rising number of casualties from Israeli attacks.

The humanitarian aid body ‘Doctors without Borders’ (MSF) strongly condemned Israel’s Monday attacks on Gaza’s Shifa hospital.

“Targeting hospitals and their surroundings is completely unacceptable and a serious violation of International Humanitarian Law,” said Tommaso Fabbri, MSF’s head of mission in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, adding, “Whatever the circumstances, health facilities and medical staff must be protected and respected. But in Gaza today, hospitals are not the safe havens they should be.”
Israeli warplanes and tanks have bombed several hospitals across the besieged region over the past few days.

Senior Palestinian officials have described the multiple attacks as a “brazen violation of international norms.”

Medical workers are now raising the alarm over a humanitarian crisis in Gaza where hospitals are running low on basic medications.

The Palestinian death toll from three weeks of Israeli strikes has neared 1,200 while several thousand Palestinians have been injured in the onslaught.

The UN says over 80 percent of the Palestinian fatalities have been civilians, including more than 250 children.

The UN Human Rights Council recently passed a resolution, calling for an independent probe into Israel’s war crimes in Gaza.
