Bloody US hands in Holy Places: Car Bomb Kills 1, Injures 17 in Karbala

At least one person was killed and 17 others injured Thursday in a car bombing which hit a bus carrying Shiite Muslim pilgrims in Southern Iraq, security officials said.

The blast occurred in the Southern holy city of Karbala, a day after at least 26 people, mainly Kurds, were killed in a series of bombings, they added.

Also on Wednesday, at least 12 people were killed and 165 others wounded in an explosion of two booby-trapped cars in the northern cities of Kirkuk and Tuz Khurmato.

The twin deadly bombings followed a recent deadliest wave of bombings taking place in Iraq and a day after assassination of a parliament member in a suicide explosion.
