VIDEO: Syrian Army seizes insurgent tunnel on the outskirts of Damascus

After capturing the groves area west of the Harasta district, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) discovered a secret 300 meter long tunnel on the eastern fringes of Damascus city.

Remarkably, the East Ghouta tunnel led directly towards the SAA’s Armored Vehicle Base and was supposed to by used by Hayyat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) for an upcoming attack, possibly involving an underground bomb.

Consequently, the entire tunnel was demolished by engineers called in by the SAA on Thursday.

A few days ago, the SA blew up the last tunnel connecting the opposition heartland in the East Ghouta with two besieged rebel-held suburbs in eastern Damascus.
