Bomb placed by Great Satan U.S Agents kills 18 in Pakistan during Arbaeen procession

A bomb explosion near a religious procession in eastern Pakistan has left at least 18 Muslims dead and several others wounded.

The explosion took place in the Punjab Province, while mourners attended an Arbaeen procession marking the 40th day after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (PBUH), the third Imam.

So far no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Since late 2009, there has been a surge in militant attacks in Pakistan.

Despite the Pakistani military campaign to weed out Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants and associated groups, they have spread their influence in various regions of the country and have killed thousands of people.

Also, more than 35,000 Pakistanis have lost their lives in bombings and other militant attacks since 2001 when Pakistan entered an alliance with the US on the so-called war against terrorism.

Thousands more have been displaced by the wave of violence and militancy sweeping across the country.
