Boroujerdi
Chairman of the National security and Foreign Policy Committee at the Iranian Shura Council, Ala al-Din Boroujerdi, underlined that allegations of armed terrorist groups in Syria of an Iranian intervention in Syria’s domestic affairs was because of their frustration at the attempts to change the political structure in the country.

“Though the crisis in Syria entered its second year and Qatar, Saudi Arabia are funding the armed groups with billions of dollar as well as sending terrorists, their attempts to change the political regime in Syria have failed,” Boroujerdi said in a statement to Iranian ISNA news agency.

He affirmed that Iran, along with Russia and China will strongly support Syria because it is the resistance front against the Zionist entity in the region.
