Brazil, Iran’s gateway to South America

Paulo Tigre, Vice President of the National Confederation of Industries of Brazil said the country could act as I.R.Iran’s gateway to South America.

In the 4th Iran-Brazil Trade Commission, Tigre pointed out that Brazil ranking tenth in gross domestic product in the world was a country of opportunities.

Tigre spoke of Brazil’s economic growth being above the average as the key factor in dealing with the economic crisis last year.

“Brazil have been able to attract considerable foreign capital and imposes no limitation upon inflow or outflow of capital,” Tigre said adding that variety in Brazil’s industry had formed a competitive atmosphere.

“Brazil is the world’s second largest producer of ethanol fuel. Brazil is technologically advanced in off-shore drilling as well as building construction,” Tigre said.

Brazil has made use of its ecological diversity in medication, nanotechnology and herbal medicine.

Brazil is the world’s tenth largest energy consumer with much of its energy coming from renewable sources, particularly hydroelectricity and ethanol. Nonrenewable energy is mainly produced from oil and natural gas.

A global power in agriculture and natural resources, Brazil experienced tremendous economic growth over the past three decades.
