At approximately 10:00 P.M. (Damascus Time), the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a big assault on the strategic city of Abu Dhuhour in a bid to finally expel the jihadist rebels from the area.
Led by their elite Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army was able to capture Tal Abu Izzo and its corresponding farm after an intense battle with the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham.
According to a military report from the front, the Syrian Army killed at least ten Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham militants before they were finally able to take control of Tal Abu Izzo and Mazra’a Abu Izzo.
Meanwhile, at Abu Dhuhour, the Tiger Forces managed to envelop some of the Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham militants inside the city, paving the way for their advance at the western axis.
The Syrian Army is now storming the western part of Abu Dhuhour and should be able to take control of the city in the next 24 hours.
