Iranian rock climbers collect 2 gold medals in IFSC World Cup

Iranian rock climber Ali Baratzadeh has finished as the champion in the prestigious International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) Climbing World Cup 2016 in China.

The Iranian sportsman participated in the men’s bouldering competitions in the city of Nanjing, capital of China’s eastern Jiangsu Province, on Sunday and claimed the world title following stiff competition with opponents from China and Hong Kong.

On Saturday, Iran’s Reza Alipour took part in the speed record category contests. He clocked 11.75 seconds to take the top honor.

Liber Hroza, a contestant from the Czech Republic, landed in the second position of the chart. Polish climber Marcin Dzienski pocketed the bronze medal.
