China: All Parties Serious about Meeting July Deadline for Final Deal between Iran, World Powers

A senior Chinese official stressed that all parties participating in the talks between Iran and the Group 5+1 (the US, Russia, China, Britain and France plus Germany) are making serious efforts to meet the July 20 deadline for reaching a comprehensive deal.
“Everyone is aiming at that (meeting the deadline),” senior Chinese official Wang Qun was quoted by Reuters as saying after the end of the fresh round of negotiations between Iran and the Group 5+1 (the US, Russia, China, Britain and France plus Germany) on Wednesday.

The official further underlined the cooperative atmosphere during the talks, and said, “Every party seems to be very sincere and very genuine in their efforts.”

The Chinese official also praised Russia’s constructive role in the talks, saying, “This is actually definitely helpful to the overall result of the dialogue.”

Representatives of Iran and the G5+1 wrapped up another round of talks on a comprehensive nuclear agreement in Vienna on Wednesday. The fresh round of talks came after a breakthrough temporary deal between Tehran and the sextet in Geneva in November followed by two rounds of talks between experts of Iran and the six power and two sets of meetings between senior negotiators of the seven nations.
