US crimes awakened Muslim nations

Senior Iranian cleric Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati says the wave of Islamic Awakening in the Arab world has its origins in the people’s awareness of US atrocities.

“The source of the recent movements and Islamic Awakening in various countries is the people’s realization of US betrayals and that it imposed dictators on them,” Ayatollah Jannati said during a meeting with the Bosnian envoy to Iran on Tuesday, IRNA reported.

“The anti-US sentiment in the Islamic Awakening in the region is the result of the people of these countries seeing that the United States has used its puppet dictators to dominate them,” he explained.

The cleric said revolutionaries in Arab nations have come to believe that they can follow the precedence set by the Iranian people, and defeat US hegemony through resistance.

Ayatollah Jannati expressed regret over the interventions in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s internal affairs by the US and its Western allies and expressed hope that this European Muslim nation would fully preserve its independence.
