Violent clashes between the IOF and Palestinian youth broke out on Thursday in both Ramallah and Nablus, causing suffocation cases among citizens due to firing tear gas bombs by IOF.

In Ramallah, students of Birzeit University have organized a march to Ofer prison in solidarity with the prisoners on hunger strike, where IOF fired tear gas intensively, injuring a number of them, eyewitnesses told PIC reporter.

The sources added that ordinary Palestinians and students have participated in the daily demonstrations near Ofer prison for the past 10 days.

Meanwhile, clashes broke out near Attara checkpoint north of Ramallah after IOF suppressed dozens of youths who were protesting the Israeli medical neglect policy against the prisoners.

In Nablus, clashes broke out on Thursday between Israeli forces and Jewish settlers from the Yitzhar settlement built on the territory of the village of Burin, south of the city, on the one hand and high school students on the other hand.

The clashes occurred when settlers attacked the village protected by IOF, pointing out that the village residents have confronted their attack, local sources confirmed.

They emphasized that the clashes continued at Yitzhar bypass, where IOF fired a barrage of tear gas and sound bombs towards the local Palestinians, no injuries were reported.
