French government under full Israeli control

A top Iranian legislator says the French government is under Israel’s full control and France pursued US interests in the latest round of nuclear negotiations between Iran and six major world powers in Geneva.

Deputy head of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Mansour Haqiqatpour said Monday that during Geneva talks between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council – the US, China, Russia, France and Britain – plus Germany the French delegates made remarks on behalf of the Israelis and Americans.

“In other words, France’s recent positions in the [nuclear] talks were remarks it made on behalf of the US and it (France) pursued US interests ….which is unfortunate [to watch],” he stated.

Haqiqatpour added that Americans made France repeat White House policies in Geneva so that they could maintain their diplomatic prestige.

“We are sorry for the French nation that their government is clearly under the full operational control of the Zionists…,” he added.

On November 9, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said in Geneva that the Israeli regime’s “concerns” must be taken into consideration in the course of the nuclear talks, adding that there is “no certainty” whether Iran and the six powers will reach an agreement at the current stage.

Iran and the six powers could not reach a deal over Tehran’s nuclear energy program in the three-day talks in Geneva, but the two sides stressed significant progress had been made and expressed optimism about the prospect of achieving a deal.

Tehran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany will continue their nuclear negotiations in Geneva on November 20.
