Cleric described int’l schedules for Muslim Unity Week
Secretary of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought met with senior Iranian cleric to describe the schedules for Muslim Unity Week to be performed in different countries.
Grand Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Secretary of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought met with Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi, top Iranian jurisprudent, and referred to the various programs to be performed across Iran and other countries, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He referred to the naming of the Friday during Muslim Unity Week as the International Day of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) to mark the high character of Prophet of Islam across the world.

Top seminary professor related on the programs that will be held in Cairo and London through cyber channels and London Buses saying that the programs has already been underway in the European capital for the past fortnight.

Founder of London Islamic Center also referred to the great event which is to be performed in Tehran participated by many Islamic figures form Iran and other countries.

Ayatollah Araki also described the logo proposed for unified Islamic nation which includes a rose and the name of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) since in the Iranian culture the flower is called after the name of Prophet of Islam.

According to the cleric, the boulevard between the holy city of Qom and Jamkaran, holy place off Qom, is to be named after Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

He reiterated the importance of the upcoming Muslim Unity Conference due to widespread anti-Shia movements and also the efforts to prevent a successful conference for solidarity among Muslims.

Ayatollah Araki also invited the representative of the jurisprudent to attend the event.

Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi praised the movement as a good piece of news and hailed the efforts of Ayatollah Araki to inject a new life into the prominent Muslim unity center.

He stressed the importance of such moves amid anti-Islam media and widespread propaganda expressing hope for continuation of the plans.

World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought will hold the International Muslim Unity Conference on January 27th – 28th, 2013.
