Cleric: Islamic unity in Iran, role model for Muslim states

Hujjat-ul-Islam Mahdi Farmanian, director of religious studies attended the workshop on confrontation with extremism in Hirmand and highlighted the role of Iran as example for maintaining Islamic unity among Muslim countries, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He slammed Takfiri (excmmunicating) and extremist groups saying,” The action by such groups has led to promotion of Islamophobia across the globe.”

He added,” In view of Islam, confrontation with enemies is inevitable though a mistake in recognizing one’s enemy will lead to incompensable damages for Islam and the Muslim world as well as ignoring the threat posed by true enemies.”

According to the cleric the mistake by Takfiri groups and their incapability to recognize the true enemies will result in insecurity in the Islamic countries, massacre of civilians, destruction of economic infrastructures and religious sites.

He denounced Takfiri groups as the current plague for the world of Islam calling them as insatiable people recognizing no red lines.

The cleric also slammed extremist groups for tarnishing the true image of Islam.

“There is no bigger threat than a group of people who excommunicate some Muslims based on their inaccurate interpretations of Islam in order to loot their property and families” said the cleric rejecting the inhumane behavior of Takfiri groups fueling the fire of war in Muslim states.
