Commander Warns of Iran’s Crushing Response to Enemy Attack

A senior Iranian Army commander underlined the Iranian nation’s full preparedness to push back enemy pressures and threats, and reiterated that the country’s Armed Forces will give a swift and crushing response to any possible enemy attack.

Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Army Brigadier General Abdolrahim Moussavi said on Wednesday that the Iranian forces will cut off the hands of aggressors before they pull the trigger against Iranian territorial integrity.

Addressing a group of army cadets, he said the Iranian forces are well trained to defend the country’s territorial integrity under any circumstances.

He said that the bullying powers sought to create obstacles to the 16th Non-Aligned Movement Summit of Leaders held in Tehran, but, to no avail thanks to readiness and vigilance of Iranian armed forces.

“Global arrogance and the Zionist regime did their best to prevent such international event to be held in Iran but they failed.”

Israel and its close ally the United States accuse Iran of seeking a nuclear weapon, while they have never presented any corroborative document to substantiate their allegations. Both Washington and Tel Aviv possess advanced weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear warheads.

Iran vehemently denies the charges, insisting that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes only. Tehran stresses that the country has always pursued a civilian path to provide power to the growing number of Iranian population, whose fossil fuel would eventually run dry.

Both Israel and the US have recently intensified rhetoric against Iran, saying an attack on the Islamic Republic’s nuclear site is impending.

Iran has, in return, warned that it would target Israel and its worldwide interests in case it comes under attack by the Tel Aviv.

Iran has also warned that it could close the strategic Strait of Hormuz if it became the target of a military attack over its nuclear program.

Strait of Hormuz, the entrance to the strategic Persian Gulf waterway, is a major oil shipping route.
