Saudi Arabia’s onslaught on Yemen continues unabated as warplanes carry out raids on the capital city of Sana’a and other locations.

According to Yemeni media sources, Saudi jets carried out two raids in the capital’s mountainous Faj Attan region on Wednesday night.

Earlier in the day, a Yemeni soldier was killed as a government building, housing rescue and emergency workers, was targeted in the northern Bayda province.

The Al Saud regime artillery also shelled multiple targets in the Hosamah border region in the northwestern province of Sa’ada.

Nearly 1,000 people have been killed by the Saudi air raids so far.

Meanwhile, Ansarullah fighters and allied forces have made gains in the southern city of Aden, capturing parts of the city in fierce combat with al-Qaeda militants.

According to security officials, the Houthi fighters of the Ansarullah movement had reached the Khormaksar neighborhood, gaining control over an area stretching from the Crater business district to the Russian Consulate.

Saudi Arabia launched its air campaign against Yemen on March 26 — without a United Nations mandate — in a bid to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and to restore power to the country’s fugitive former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, a staunch ally of Riyadh.

On April 21, Riyadh announced the end of the first phase of its unlawful military operation, but airstrikes have continued with Saudi bombers targeting different areas across the country in a new phase.

According to Yemen’s Health Ministry, the month-long Saudi aggression has killed nearly 150 children and around 100 women.
