Culture minister stresses promotion of religious culture

Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati said here on Sunday that the General Assembly of the Islamic Radio and Television Union plays a pivotal role in promotion of religious culture. Jannati made the remarks in the 7th General Assembly of the Islamic Radio and Television Union currently underway in Tehran.

The union should stand against the Westˈs propaganda as it is targeting the Islamic cultures, he added.
Jannati then referred to the meeting as a good opportunity to deal with the main media issues of the member countries.

The 7th General Assembly of the Islamic Radio and Television Union opened in Tehran in the presence of President Hassan Rouhani this morning. Representatives of several radio and TV stations from 30 Islamic countries are attending the three-day event.
