D-8 industries ministers meeting wraps up in Istanbul

Islamic Republic of Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mines and Commerce Mehdi Ghazanfari said Iran had a constructive presence in the Second Meeting of the Group of D-8 Industries Ministers.

Ghazanfari made the remarks at the end of the second meeting of D-8 Group in Istanbul.

The Iranian delegation held bilateral meetings with industries ministers of the D-8 group, particularly Turkey, Egypt, Indonesia, and Bangladesh.

‘We achieved important agreements, especially in the field of automotive industry and auto spare parts. We reached agreements with Indonesia and Turkey,’ Ghazanfari added.

The Group of D-8 industries ministers agreed to strengthen D-8 and a databank to be established among member-states.

The First Meeting of D-8 Industrial Ministers was held in Iran last year.
