Members of the Takfiri Daesh terrorist group have reportedly executed nearly three dozen fellow extremists in Iraq’s embattled northern province of Nineveh.

A local source, requesting anonymity, said Daesh terrorists killed 35 fellow terrorists by firing squad at the Ghazlani military camp south of Mosul, located some 400 kilometers (248 miles) north of the capital, Baghdad, on Sunday, after accusing them of conspiracy against the Takfiri outfit, al-Sumaria television network reported.

The report came only a day after Daesh terrorists shot and killed a dozen members of the terrorist outfit in the village of al-Hadar, situated 120 kilometers (74 miles) south of Mosul. The slain militants had reportedly been accused of escaping clashes with Iraqi government forces in Iraq’s embattled western province of Anbar.

On January 26, Jabbar al-Mamouri, a commander of the pro-government Popular Mobilization units, said Daesh terrorists had killed four militant commanders along with three other members of the terrorist group by firing squad in Hawijah district, located about 282 kilometers (175 miles) north of the capital, Baghdad.

The northern and western parts of Iraq have been plagued by violence ever since Daesh terrorists began an offensive through Iraqi territory in June 2014.

Iraqi army soldiers and fighters from Popular Mobilization units are seeking to win back militant-held regions in joint operations.
