Daesh Sends 5,000 Dangerous Terrorists to Syrian Raqqa, from Iraqi Mosul

Intelligence data has revealed that up to 5,000 ISIL terrorists have been moved to Syria’s Raqqa and Deir Ezzur from Iraq’s Mosul, Russian Reconciliation Center said in a statement on Sunday.

The Russian Defense Ministry’s reconciliation center cited intelligence data that showed that ISIL terrorist group had moved up to 5,000 fighters to the cities of Raqqa and Deir Ezzur from the Iraqi stronghold of Mosul, Sputnik reported; FNA reported.

At the same time, the reconciliation center reported that ISIL had moved considerable forces from their stronghold of Raqqa after the offensive of US-backed Kurdish militants to recapture the city was stalled.

More forces and equipment were relocated from the vicinity of Deir Ezzur. The Iraqi operation to liberate Mosul, which was occupied by ISIL terrorist group in June 2014, has been ongoing since October 17.

The offensive to liberate Mosul is led by Iraqi soldiers backed by popular forces.
