Damascus Condemns Kerry Remarks: US Responsible for Prolonging Crisis

Damascus slammed on Wednesday the United States over its role in supporting terrorism in Syria, condemning the remarks of the US Secretary of State, John Kerry, on prolonging the crisis in the war-torn country.

Talking before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Tuesday, Kerry talked about prolonging the crisis in Syria and the possibility of its partition.

Syrian Foreign MinistryA source at the Syrian foreign ministry condemned Kerry’s remarks, stressing that they “contradict the truth and aim at hiding the fact that his country’s responsibility for what Syria has been exposed to from the crimes perpetrated by the terrorist groups,” SANA news agency reported.
