First death anniversary of Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Fadazallah, prominent Lebanese jurisprudent, was held by in the Iranian capital Tehran.

Ceremony for the first death anniversary of Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Fadlallah, former Fatah spokesman was held by Ahllul Bayt (AS) World Assembly and World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.

This ceremony was attended by Iranian and Lebanese top officials among them, Seyyed Ali Fadlallah, son of the late   Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Fadlallah, Ayatollah Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, Secretary Genral of Ahlul Bayt (AS) World Assembly and HujjatulIslam Ghorban Ali Dori Najafabadi, former Iranian MP.

Seyyed Ali Fadlallah, son of the late jurisprudent in this ceremony gave a speech explaining the views and lifestyle of the late  cleric.

He said that issues and objectives of the Muslim world had always been a concern for the late Marja (jurisprudent) and that the cleric had devoted his life for meeting the demands of the Muslim nation.

“Islam, in view of the late Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Fadlallah, was a religion which included freedom and all good qualities.” said Lebanese cleric and added that he had sacrificed his life for high Islamic values.

According to Seyyed Ali Fadlallah, it had been a constant recommendation of the grand jurisprudent for his students that,” If you devote all your experience and academic knowledge without being committed to Islam, you will not achieve your objectives.”

Iranian official, Ghorban Ali Dori Najafabadi in this ceremony tribute the high status of Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Fadlallah and hailed the late   cleric as an active member of Ahlul Bayt (AS) World Assembly.

He lauded the supports of late Ayatollah Mohammad Hossein Fadlallah for his efforts for Shias, Sunnis and Christians expressing hope that his students maintain his stance.

He praised the Lebanese cleric and expressed regret that late Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Fadlallah is really missed in an era when US and Israel make up fake proofs to accuse Hezbollah members for assassination of Rafiq Hariri.

Iranian former MP also said that this plot against Hezbollah members has to be foiled by unity and solidarity of Muslims and that a court is accredited when it is neutral because a court that takes side is not valued in any part of the world.

Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Fadlallah (1935-2010) was a prominent Lebanese political and religious leader.

A great writer, thinker and poet from Lebanon, he has left more than 70 books on Qur’an, religion, Fiq’h and Islamic thinking.
