Breaking: Syrian Army captures important area from US-backed militants in east Damascus

After several hours of intense clashes, Syrian Arab Army (SAA) captured Bir Qassab area in eastern Damascus countryside on Tuesday afternoon, expelling the militants of US-backed “Free Syrian Army” (FSA) factions.

This comes as a development of previous SAA success two weeks ago, when government troops captured Tal Dakwah hilltop.
