Defense Minister: Nuclear Talks Show Iran's Peace-Seeking Face

Iran’s Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan said that the conclusion of nuclear talks between Tehran and world powers proved the country’s nuclear energy program to be peaceful, Al-Alam News Network reports.
Principled stances held by the Iranian negotiating team, which are based on rationality, logic and legal principles, showed the peace-seeking and honorable face of Islamic Republic of Iran to the world, General Dehqan said in a gathering in Tehran.
He further appreciated the vigilance and serious efforts of the nuclear negotiating team headed by Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
Iran’s defense minister also hailed the nuclear conclusion as proof of the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear activities.
The remarks came after Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) concluded more than two weeks of intensive talks over Tehran’s nuclear program in Vienna.
The negotiating parties on Tuesday reached a conclusion over the text of a comprehensive 159-page deal on the nuclear issue after 22 months of talks.
