DM Hails Iran’s Deterrence Power in Soft, Hard Warfare

Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan praised the country’s Armed Forces for their strong deterrence power against the enemy.
Addressing a conference in Tehran on Tuesday, Brigadier General Dehqan said, “Our country enjoys a high level of deterrence power in both the hard and soft warfares.”

The Iranian defense minister reiterated that the Armed Forces are ready to confront the enemies in different arenas.

In similar remarks on Sunday, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces for Cultural Affairs and Defense Publicity Brigadier General Massoud Jazzayeri said the US has stayed away from military action against Iran due to the latter’s strong deterrence power, specially in soft warfare.

“If Iran didn’t enjoy a soft deterrence power, the US wouldn’t hesitate even for a single second to launch a military attack (against Iran),” Jazzayeri said in Tehran.

“The aspects of the Islamic Revolution’s soft power along with the Islamic Republic’s high defensive power have strengthened Iran and crippled the enemy,” the Iranian commander added.

He underlined that the era of one-sided war threats is gone now and the great Iranian nation will give a crushing response to the US if it dares to attack ran.

Jazzayeri warned Washington against its strong advocacy and devotion to the Zionist regime, Iran’s arch foe, saying that the United States’ continued full-fledged support for Israel will damage the country and eventually lead to its collapse.

In relevant remarks in October, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei described the Iranian Armed Forces’ full preparedness as a major deterrent to enemy attacks, and meantime stressed that the country will not step back in case of any foreign aggression.

“Because of their Islamic teachings, Iranian nation are not the men of aggression and invasion but they will not fall short of confronting any aggression,” Ayatollah Khamenei said, addressing Iranian military units in Northeastern province of North Khorassan at the time.

The Leader lauded Iran’s high military preparedness, and stated, “The only reason the power mongers’ motivation for waging war has downgraded or getting weakened is the general readiness of Iranian nation and the defense readiness of the armed forces.”

The Leader said general readiness of Iranian nation, especially the youth, “is today in the highest possible level compared to the past and the armed forces are more prepared and more powerful than the past”.
