Douma: Syrian Army Advances Past the Musa’ab bin ‘Umeir Mosque

The Syrian Arab Army’s 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard has made significant strides in the rebel stronghold of Douma, advancing their positions past the Musa’ab bin ‘Umeir Mosque (Jaama’ Musa’ab) towards the Al-Wafadeen Camp.

According to a military source, the 105th Brigade captured the Sameer Al-Ajwa Villa outside of Douma, resulting in the latter securing their positions 70 meters away from the city.

The source added that 7 militants were identified among the dead in Douma; Bahaa’ Maysat, Fawaz Safsaf, Ahmad Sabahi, Zaher Sabahi, Tamer ‘Issiqoul, ‘Ala’al Al-Feitouri (Tunisian) and Faysal Al-Makhtaari (Saudi).

At Hawash Al-Farah, the 105th Brigade killed 26 confirmed enemy combatants from Jaysh Al-Islam (Army of Islam) during their fierce assault at this town in the East Ghouta of Rif Dimashq.

Syrian Security Forces arrested 8 suspected criminals in the town of Kameen located in the East Ghouta; these suspects were believed to have participated in series of terrorist attack in the provincial capital of Damascus.
