Informed sources in the Northern parts of Syria said on Friday that tens of militants were killed in fierce clashes between the ISIL Takfiri terrorists, the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and Jabhat Al-Shamiyah in the Northern flanks of Aleppo.

The sources said that the ISIL surprised the FSA and Jabhat Al-Shamiyah with a powerful assault at night, and stormed their main base at the Aleppo Infantry Academy, which left dozens of killed members from both sides.

In September, clashes erupted between the ISIL terrorists and other Takfiri militants in the Syrian province of Aleppo, leaving at least 47 militants dead, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

Twenty militants were killed in the clashes at the time, along with 27 ISIL terrorists, the Britain-based Observatory said.

The fighting centered on the town of Marea.

The Observatory said fighting was ongoing around the town as well in villages in the surrounding area.
