Iran welcomes Washington-Moscow plan for Syria

Vice president of the Islamic Republic of Iran said Tehran welcomes Washington-Moscow plan for peaceful solving of the Syrian crisis.

Mohammad Javad Mohammadizadeh, vice president of the Islamic republic of Iran said during an interview with Reuters on Friday in Geneva that Iran welcomes the US-Russian plan to provide grounds for peaceful solution to the Syrian crisis via convening a global conference.
Last Tuesday the US secretary of state John Kerry said in a joint news conference with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov that the countries are trying to hold an international confab to prepare the ground for peaceful solution to the Syrian crisis.
The Iranian vice president, who is also the head of Iran’s environment preservation organization, has traveled to Geneva, Switzerland, to attend the session of the member states of chemical conventions on environment.
During the extraordinary and ordinary sessions of chemical conventions which started in Geneva since two weeks ago, representatives from 150 countries including the Islamic Republic of Iran reviewed the ways of coordination and reciprocal strengthening among trilateral conventions and their implementation in national, regional and international levels.
