Egypt must stop spread of terrorism: Commentator

Press TV has conducted an interview with Hayyan Haidar, a political commentator from Beirut, to discuss the airstrikes carried out by Egypt’s air force against ISIL positions in Libya following the release of a video purportedly showing the beheading of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians.

Haidar says Egypt has been dragged into the US-led so-called coalition against ISIL, adding that unfortunately the Egyptians have no other alternative but to intervene and react and try to stop the spread of this terrorism coming from Libya into Egypt. He also believes the United States itself has created this chaos to re-distribute and re-spread the Western hegemony all over the region.
