Egypt’s Army reports 32 terrorists dead in Sinai

“Operation Sinai” against militants that killed 16 Egyptian soldiers in August resulted in elimination of 32 “criminals while 38 have been arrested.

The army spokesperson Colonel Ahmed Mohammed Ali announced the killed militants were “non-Egyptians”.

Earlier, neighbor Israel expressed concern at Egypt deploying troops on the Sinai Peninsula in violation of the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel.

Cairo rejects such accusations, saying Egypt’s military presence in Sinai is “in the frame of coordination” with Tel-Aviv, the spokesperson said.
