Eight citizens martyred, dozens injured by terrorist attacks in Damascus

Eight citizens were martyred and others were injured when terrorists blew up an explosive device planted in al-Hijaz Square in Damascus on Wednesday.

A source at the Police Command told SANA reporter that terrorists detonated an explosive device in front of the General Establishment of Syrian Railways (al-Hijaz Railway), adding that dozens of persons were killed or injured in the attack, among them a number of workers who were carrying out maintenance works to the building.

A source at Damascus Hospital said that 8 bodies and 50 injured persons were admitted to the hospital, adding that among the injured persons were children and women.
