Sinwar: Hamas ready to find middle ground with anyone except Israel

Hamas is ready to make all sorts of concessions to make national reconciliation come true and liberate Israeli-occupied Palestinian land, Hamas Chief in Gaza, Yehya al-Sinwar, said on Tuesday evening.

Speaking at a meeting between Palestinian factions in Gaza, al-Sinwar said Hamas will make every possible effort to heal all internal divisions.

“We are ready to make all sorts of concessions for the sake of our land and people,” he said. “Our national liberation struggle and right of return are just sacred.”

The Hamas leader said his movement has been on guard to underway attempts by Israel and Trump’s administration to freeze the national reconciliation process. “Israel has to think twice before attempting to frustrate the reconciliation process and meddle with our home affairs”

He reiterated Hamas’s firm rebuff to recognize Israel. “We are ready to make all sorts of concessions before all parties except the Israeli occupation. We will forever remain faithful to our right of return and armed resistance.”

“The Palestinians shall never forfeit their resistance weapon,” added al-Sinwar as he stressed Hamas’s commitment to armed resistance.

He called for forming a new national council and restructuring the Palestine Liberation Organization so as to include all the Palestinians regardless of their partisan affiliations under the same umbrella.

Responding to the accusations made by the Israeli Intelligence Minister, in which he slammed al-Sinwar for following the steps of the Palestinian resistance icons Ahmed Yassin and Abu Mohamed al-Ja’abari, al-Sinwar said “I am proud of tracking the footsteps of such renowned figures.”

The Hamas leader also said the group has developed friendly ties with international and regional parties, including Egypt, so as to boost support for the Palestinian cause.

Al-Sinwar revealed that the next round of talks in Cairo will tackle the human rights situation in the West Bank.
