The Yemeni Ansarullah fighters and their allied army units clashed with Saudi soldiers along the Yemeni-Saudi border, killing two Saudi soldiers.

The Saudi troops were killed late on Tuesday.

The Royal Saudi Armed Forces confirmed in a statement the death of the Saudi soldiers but did not specify when they were killed or the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

According to the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA), another Saudi soldier was also killed on Monday and two others died of injuries on Tuesday during clashes that broke out in the Saudi border region of Jizan.

Saudi Arabia has been striking Yemen for 154 days now to restore power to fugitive president Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh. The Saudi-led aggression has so far killed at least 5,529 Yemenis, including hundreds of women and children.

Hadi stepped down in January and refused to reconsider the decision despite calls by Ansarullah revolutionaries of the Houthi movement.

Despite Riyadh’s claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi warplanes are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.
