Enemy of the Iraq’s Unity continue sneaking- Car bomb kills five, injures 15 in Baghdad

Five people have been killed and 15 others wounded in a car bomb attack carried out in the Iraqi capital, officials say.

Iraqi police sources reported that the car bombing was carried out near a bus stop in Baghdad’s Hurriyah neighborhood early on Thursday, killing at least five people.

According to reports, nearly five minibuses were also damaged in the attack.

Scores of people have lost their lives in attacks targeting Shia Muslim pilgrims across Iraq during recent weeks.

On January 3, seventeen people were killed and over 45 others injured in a car bomb attack targeting a Shia Muslim mourning procession in the town of Musayyib, south of Baghdad.

On December 31, 2012, nearly two dozen people, including children, were killed and 80 others injured in attacks carried out in several cities and towns in the country.

The Iraqi government has stepped up efforts to increase security across the country over the past few months.
