Envoy: Iran ready to boost oil/gas cooperation with Lebanon

Iranian envoy to Lebanon says Tehran is ready to give a go ahead to the exploration of gas and oil in Lebanon.

Iranian Ambassador in Lebanon Ghadanfar Rokenabadi declared his country’s readiness to help Lebanon on the subject of exploration for oil and gas in case they were asked ” to provide all types of assistance in this area, as well as livelihood and other development projects and also in electricity and water projects and dams.”

Following a meeting with Lebanese Premier Najib Mikati, Roknaband broached the issue of the Joint Economic Commission between the two countries, noting that “this committee is expected to meet after about 20 days from the end of Ramadan”.
