Field Report: battle for Shaer gas field heats up as SAA launches 2nd attack

The Syrian Army’s elite Tiger Forces re-attacked, today afternoon, ISIS militants in the western outskirts of al-Mahr gas field after the first attack has been repelled by the terror group on Friday night. Al-Mahr is located to the southwest of Shaer Mount, and nearly 18 km to the north of Tiyas Airbase (T4); one of the largest and most operative military airbuses run by the Syrian Army.

The world’s deadliest terror organization, i.e. ISIS, blitzed the gas-rich area last Wednesday, capturing several Army points and seizing weapons, ammunitions and gun-mounted vehicles. ISIS desperately attempts to take on the area and eventually make up of the deteriorating revenues after it has lost a great part of the oil fields it used to control in Iraq.
