Fierce clashes breakout in southern Idlib after failed terrrorist infiltration

A fierce battle broke out this morning in the southern countryside of the Idlib Governorate after the terrrorists attempted to infiltrate the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) positions near the demilitarized zone.

Led by Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham, the jihadist rebels attempted to infiltrate the Syrian Arab Army’s positions south of the small town of Khuwayn last night.

According to a military source in nearby Mhardeh, the Syrian Arab Army was able to foil the jihadist infiltration attempt after local scouts spotted the Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham militants moving towards their positions.

Following the infiltration attempt, an intense battle broke out between the Syrian Arab Army and Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham near Khuwayn and the northern Hama town of Al-Latamnah.

The Syrian Arab Army is now pounding the jihadist rebel defenses in southern Idlib and northern Hama with a barrage of artillery shells and surface-to-surface missiles.
