Figures spoke of Islamic revolution effects

Intellectuals and pundits from Pakistan, Malaysia, Belarus, Egypt, and Venezuela spoke to IRIB of the effects of Islamic Revolution on the regional countries and beyond.

Esfandiar Wali, a member of Pakistan senate, asserted that the Islamic revolution of 1979 baffled the West, and through the leadership of Imam Khomeini, Iran earned a reputation as the symbol of resistance against the western powers that has continued to this day.

Rafih Saleem a Malaysian woman rights’ activist stated that the Islamic revolution gave hope to the oppressed and its other effects is evident throughout the Muslim world.

Assistant of the office of Belarusian president said after the revolution Iran has learned how to achieve its goals and knows the ways to development.

Al-Sayeh, an Egyptian university professor pointed to Imam Khomeini’s great knowledge and said the late Imam was well aware that an Islamic society should have freedom in keeping with foresight and logic.

A Venezuelan professor spoke of the Islamic revolution as one of the greatest events in the twentieth century. He added that before the Islamic revolution, Iran was on the side of imperialism and against independent states and the establishment of a free Palestine. But after the revolution Israel lost its place in Iran and the rest of the countries in the region.
