Final agreement depends on removal of UNSC sanctions

Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif expressed optimism about reaching a final comprehensive agreement with the six world powers, but meantime said that the precondition for final agreement is removal of sanctions through UN.

According to IRNA, Zarif said in a televised interview with IRIBˈs Channel 2 on Saturday night “The condition for final agreement is removal of all sanctions against Iran in the United Nations Security Council through approval of a resolution.”

He noted that the 5+1 Group (the US, Russia, China, France and Britain plus Germany) in every agreement should vow to remove the sanctions.

the Iranian foreign minister said “The comprehensive agreement between Iran and the 5+1 Group will result in that the members of the group that five them has the right of veto in the UN Security Council have provided the council with a resolution and approved it on the basis of which the sanctions should be annulled.”
