Final preparations being made for massive Syrian Army offensive in Idlib

Over the last 48 hours, the Syrian Arab Army’s High Command has been sending a large number of reinforcements to the southern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate.

The reinforcements arrived at the town of Al-Rashidiyah and were comprised of 4th Division, Republican Guard, and NDF personnel that were previously in the Hama, Deir Ezzor, and Homs governorates.

In addition to the reinforcements, the Syrian Army commander leading the operation, Major General Mohammad Khaddour, was pictured inspecting his forces in the southern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate.

The main objective of this offensive will be to liberate the strategic Abu Dhuhour Military Airport, which has now become Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s main base in the eastern countryside of the Idlib Governorate.
