Flag of fighting America should remain hoisted

Tehran’s interim Friday prayer leader, Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati described the presence of Iranian nation in the anti-US marches in Aban 13 (Nov 4) as splendid and said the flag of fighting against America should remain hoisted.

Addressing Tehrani worshippers, he said, “We can not show green light to America conservatively and humbly again.”

Referring to America’s enmity with the Islamic Republic of Iran, he said, “I wonder how some persons do not understand realities or pretend that they do not understand.”

“What is the meaning of approving a 55 million dollar budget for weakening the Islamic Republic by the American congress?” he asked.

“No power could accept to come to terms with its enemy,” he reiterated.

Addressing Americans, the enemies of the system, local deceived elements especially the masterminds of the sedition, Ayatollah Jannati said: “The more you make sedition, the more the lines of people become connected. That is why the presence of people in this year’s Aban 13 ceremony increased.”

The interim Friday prayer leader addressed the masterminds of the sedition by saying: “This will not help except in disgracing you. Shame on you. Enough that America supports you.”

Referring to developments in Yemen and Saudi Arabia’s cooperation in suppressing Shia Yemenis, he said: “Wahhabis are decided to eliminate Shias and suppress them wherever they are,” Ayatollah Jannati added.

He regarded closing Shia mosques and banning their gatherings in Saudi Arabia as examples of such moves, saying: “It seems that Saudi officials have a complex against Shias and now their forces have crossed Yemeni borders to suppress this country’s Shias.”

Criticizing the silence of the Organization of Islamic Countries regarding developments in Yemen, interim Friday prayer leader said: “If this organization can not defend the oppressed in such cases and stop the oppressor, its existence would be questioned and it would be dissolved automatically.”
