Flag of Imam Hossein’s shrine hoisted in Lebanon

The red flag once atop Imam Hossein’s (P.B.U.H.) shrine in Karbala, Iraq, was hoisted in Maroun al-Ras area on the border between Lebanon and the Occupied Palestine.

Maroun al-Ras is the place where the might of the Zionist regime’s army was broke in the 2006 war on Lebanon.

Thousands of Lebanese attended a ceremony in southern Lebanon in which Hezbollah official Sheikh Nabil Qawouq hoisted the flag.

After being paraded through several European and Arab countries, the red flag with the expression “Ya Hossein” on it, finally reached the office of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah’s Secretary General.

Nasrallah proposed that the flag be hoisted in a place where the blood of Lebanese fighters was shed, leading to the victory of the Resistance.

At the end of the ceremony, the participants took the oath of resistance.
