Food baskets distributed, citizens evacuated from al-Yarmouk Camp, Damascus

52f08d7982677Thousands of food baskets were distributed to citizens in al-Yarmouk Camp in Damascus, as hundreds of people suffering from critical humanitarian conditions were evacuated from the place on Monday.
Supervisor of the Relief Campaign of the Palestinians, Abu Kifa Ghazi, stressed that 3480 food baskets were distributed, in addition to evacuating 800 citizens who undergo critical humanitarian conditions from the Camp besieged by gunmen.
Ghazi told SANA that the process of distributing food baskets to those who in need for them is going on well inside the Camp in fulfillment to the popular peaceful initiative for solving the crisis of the Camp with support of the Syrian government in order to alleviate the suffering of the citizens besieged by the gunmen.
The armed terrorist groups have targeted the Palestinian camps in Syria, leaving the residents in a deteriorating humanitarian condition, as they have prevented humanitarian aid from reaching into the camps until a try has succeeded in the Camp.
The Campaign supervisor hailed the facilitations provided by the Syrian government to relieve the Palestinians and help passing aid into the Camp in cooperation with Palestinian Liberation Front and UNRWA.
Last week, the severe situation of the Palestinian people who are suffering by terrorists’ attacks against the Palestinian camps in Syria and means of alleviating it were the pivot of the meeting binding Deputy Foreign and expatriate Minister, Faisal Mikdad, and a delegation from Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, headed by Palestinian Minister of Labor, Ahmad Abdul-Salam al-Majdalani.
Palestinian committee hails Syrian government efforts in delivering aid to Yarmouk Camp
The Dialogue Committee for solving the crisis of the Palestinian camps reiterated that the Syrian government spares no efforts for delivering the humanitarian aid to the citizens of al-Yarmouk Camp.
At the conclusion of a meeting held in the HQ of the Palestinian National Council in Damascus, the Committee appreciated the efforts of the Syrian government and the UNRWA for delivering food and get the most affected citizens out of the camp.
Supervisor of the campaign of relieving Palestinian people in Yarmouk Camp, Abu Keffah Ghazi has told SANA that 3480 food baskets were distributed and 800 humanitarian cases were evacuated from Yarmouk Camp till the moment.
