The rebel group “Ahrar Darayya” was transported from Darayaa (rural Damascus) to the Idlib Governorate last month after an agreement was put in place to have the rebels surrender this key town to the government.

However, one month after their arrival to the Idlib Governorate, the Islamist rebels of Ahrar Darayya merged with Jaysh Al-Nasr.

These same Islamist militants from Ahrar Darayya are now fighting the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and their allies in the northern Hama countryside.

A statement was released by Jaysh Al-Nasr on Wednesday confirming the merge and Ahrar Darayya’s participation in this latest offensive in northern Hama.
