Four Israeli soldiers injured in Gaza Strip

At least four Israeli soldiers have been injured by resistance fighters in the Gaza Strip during clashes that saw Tel Aviv warplanes carrying out airstrikes.

The clashes between Israeli troops and Palestinian fighters took place east of the town of Khan Yunis in the Palestinian stretch of land on Friday, a Press TV correspondent reported.

Witnesses say Israeli forces fired tank shells and rockets during the 20-minute exchange of fire. Moreover, Israeli warplanes staged airstrikes in the area.

A Palestinian was also injured during the exchange of fire.

Following the incident, Israeli helicopters attacked al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza. There were no immediate reports of Palestinian casualties.
