Four protesters arrested at Slaughterer Israeli anti-austerity demo

At least four activists have been arrested during a protest against the Zionist Israeli regime’s austerity measures and Tel Aviv’s plans for exports of natural gas.

According to Zionist Israeli media, the arrests were made late on Saturday when hundreds of protesters took to the streets of the city of al-Quds (Jerusalem), chanting anti-regime slogans.

Police used force to disperse the protesters, who were blocking Zahal Square and disrupting the movement of the light rail.

Police also said authorities began to arrest the leaders of the protest after the “demonstrators did not comply with police instructions to leave the area.”

Discontented Israelis almost regularly take to the streets in Tel Aviv and other cities to protest against the painful austerity measures, which would raise income and value-added taxes and cut welfare benefits.

According to the International Monetary Fund, Israelis face high rates of poverty.
