‘Free nations must oppose injustice’

Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says independent nations have the potential to organize efforts for the purpose of correcting unfair structures in the world.

In a meeting with Prime Minister of Swaziland Barnabas Sibusiso Dlamini in New York on Wednesday, President Ahmadinejad called on independent nations to bolster multilateral cooperation among themselves, IRNA reported.

The Islamic Republic seeks to expand its cooperation with countries on the basis of justice, he said, adding Iran and Swaziland can make use of bilateral potential to bolster “constructive and fruitful” cooperation in line with the two nations’ interests.

Dlamini, for his part, said Swaziland attaches special significance to enhanced ties with Iran, adding his country has developed effective ideas in this regard.

The premier of Swaziland noted that Mbabane is interested in establishing amicable ties with countries, including Iran.

Meanwhile, in a meeting with Nicaragua’s minister of state earlier on the day, the Iranian president said international developments are changing to the fulfillment of ideas of independent nations.

He added that nations are unhappy with the ongoing situation in the world and are seeking ways to establish a new world.

The creation of a new world will be possible only through religious teachings, Ahmadinejad said, adding independent countries can play a leading role in introducing such teachings to humans across the globe.

The Iranian chief executive called for efforts to make the United Nations move in the path of sustainable peace.

He pointed to growing relations between Iran and Nicaragua and emphasized that Tehran puts no limitations on strengthening bilateral cooperation with Managua in all fields.

The Nicaragua’s state minister, for his part, praised President Ahmadinejad’s resistance against imperialism and said many countries strongly support Iran’s firm stance on international issues.

He noted that Iran and Latin American countries can play an effective role on international developments.

President Ahmadinejad’s meetings were held on the sidelines of the 66th annual session of the United Nations General Assembly.
