French, Croatian MPs to visit Iran

A French parliamentary delegation is to pay a visit to Iran on Friday in an effort to discuss the expansion of Tehran-Paris relations with senior Iranian lawmakers.

According to Press TV, on Sunday, advisor to Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani on international affairs Hossein Sheikholeslam said the delegation, which will be headed by the leader of the Union of Democrats and Independents in the French parliament, Jean-Louis Borloo, is slated to arrive in Tehran on December 13.
During their three-day stay, French lawmakers will meet with Larijani, Chairman of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Alaeddin Boroujerdi and Head of Majlis Research Center Kazem Jalali to discuss grounds for the expansion bilateral ties between Tehran and Paris.
Meanwhile, a Croatian parliamentary delegation is also set to make an official three-day visit to the Islamic Republic on December 16 to hold talks with senior Iranian politicians and legislators, including Larijani and Boroujerdi, over the promotion of Tehran-Zagreb parliamentary ties.
The December 16 talks will be aimed at bolstering parliamentary relations between Tehran and Zagreb.
